About The Race

The Six-O Trail Run will be held at it’s namesake the Six-O Ranch in Cleburne, Texas. The Six-O Ranch is a 1600 acre working cattle ranch located on the edge of the Texas Hill Country that features over 20 miles of trail. The course will consist of a combination of single track, dirt ranch roads, and a few crossings over wide open fields. We’ll even throw in a couple of water crossings along the way.

Depending upon your carrier, mobile service can be a bit spotty. Do not rely solely on your GPS.

Directions from Cleburne:

  1. From Cleburne, take US-67 S towards Glen Rose
  2. Roughly 3 miles outside of town turn left on Park Road 21
  3. Travel 7.1 miles and turn right on FM 200
  4. In approximately 3 miles the Six-O Ranch will be on your right.

Parking at the Six-O Ranch is $5/car and $10/per campsite. This fee will be collected at packet pickup. Even though Parking/Camping is right next to the Start/Finish. Please allow extra time to pick up your packet, timing chip, and return to your car to store your SWAG before starting your race. While we have never had any issues with things disappearing at the start/finish, we will not replace misplaced or lost items.

* Because this is a private ranch, it is usually not open to the public for running/hiking. Please respect the owners and do not attempt to access the trails outside of the race date.

All races will run the course in the clockwise direction.

IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the signs and markings on the course. There are several ranch roads and cattle trails along the course. Remember there are cattle on the course and they have a mind of their own and don’t really worry about knocking over the course markings. We will have confidence markers every 1/4 mile along the course. We will do everything we can to make sure it’s very clear what you are supposed to do. However, there is nothing we can do for folks who do not pay attention.

50K Elevation Profile

The 50K course is a 15.6 mile loop that is run twice for a total of 31.4 miles. Each 15.56 mile loop will have 1317 ft. of elevation gain plus 1317 ft of descent.

Marathon/Half-Marathon Elevation Profile

The Half Marathon course is one 13.3 mile loop. Each loop will have 1174 ft. of elevation gain plus 1175 ft of descent.

The Marathon course is a 13.3 mile loop that is run twice for a total of 26.6 miles. Each 13.3 mile loop will have 1147 ft. of elevation gain plus 1147 ft of descent.

The 6-O Mile run course has have 534 ft. of elevation gain plus 534 ft of descent.

Aid Stations

IMPORTANT: All runners must cary a hydration device (i.e. Water Bottle or Hydration Bladder) to participate in the race. This is a summer race in Texas.

Six-Mile runners will pass though one aid station each loop:

  • 2.3 Miles – Start-Mountainside
  • 3.6 Miles – Mountainside – Finish

Marathon/Half-Marathon runners will pass through the following aid stations on each loop:

  • 4.4 Miles – Start-Lakeside Aid Station
  • 1.9 Miles Lakeside – Lakeside Aid Station (Around the lake)
  • 2.9 Miles Lakeside – Mountainside Aid Station
  •   .5 Miles Mountainside – Mountainside
  • 3.6 miles Mountainside – Finish

50K runners will pass through the following aid stations on each loop:

  • 5.3 Miles – Start-Lakeside Aid Station
  • 2.5 Miles Lakeside – Lakeside Aid Station (Around the lake)
  • 3.7 Miles Lakeside – Mountainside Aid Station
  •   .5 Miles Mountainside – Mountainside
  • 3.6 miles Mountainside – Finish

This is a cupless race. We do not provide cups to participants. However we do sell a rubber reusable collapsable cup for $5 each that can be purchased when you pick up your race packet. Water and Gatorade will be available at all aid stations along with typical aid station fare such as bananas, oranges, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, Oreos, fig cookies, soda, Salt Stick and much more.

Drop Bags

Drop bags can be left at the Start/Finish aid station. However, please note that drop bags are left in this area at your own risk. We cannot be responsible in any way for your drop bag or it’s contents. Post race, please be sure and pick up your drop bag. Under no circumstances will we mail or deliver a drop bag back to it’s owner.


No pacers are allowed for this race. Anyone who runs with a unregistered runner will be disqualified.

Logding and Camping

The Six-O Ranch located between Cleburne and Glen Rose, Texas. There are a wide variety of lodging options in either city

Tent/RV camping will be available Friday Night only for $10 per site. Please note this is primitive camping (i.e. no electric, water or sewer) so plan accordingly. Portable toilets for the race will be delivered on Friday and will be available for campers to use. Camping fees will be collected by Blaze Trails on behalf of the ranch owners. All proceeds from camping/parking go directly to the owners of the ranch.

Registration and Refund Policy

We understand that things come up. If you can no longer run the race, if you cancel more than 30 days in advance, you will receive 100% race credit for another Blaze Trails Running event. If you cancel between 30 days and two weeks prior to race day, you will receive 50% race credit towards another Blaze Trails Running event. We will not allow any refunds or transfers less than two weeks before race day. No exceptions.

To cancel, log into Ultrasignup > Registration History and select “Edit” to cancel your race. Your credit needs to be used within one year. If you need an extended time to use your credit due to medical reasons (including pregnancy) or military deployments, please reach out ahead of time.

Bib transfers to another runner are allowed up until the two weeks prior to the race only if the race has not sold out and there is no waitlist. If you are interested in transferring your bib to a friend, please contact us immediately. It is very important for the safety of all runners that we have the correct contact and medical information. If the shirt order has already been placed, your friend agrees to accept the shirt size that you ordered. A $15 administration fee (plus transaction fee) will be charged to the person who is accepting the bib transfer. We require transfers to be completed no later than two weeks prior to the race. This allows us to keep our focus on producing the event and other important race details during the race week. If you contact us in the last two weeks to ask for a transfer, we will not reply and the transfer is not allowed. No exceptions.

When you register, you acknowledge that we do not provide a refund if we are forced to cancel the race due to unforeseen circumstances that risk the safety of our participants due to conditions that are out of the race director’s control. This may include, but is not limited to flooding, lightning or any other weather condition that makes the course unsafe for participants.
